  USA Orgavyl Butyl Windscreen Sealant 

is a black, non-drying, non-hardening synthetic rubber based butyl rubber sealant suitable 

for use as a placement sealant tape for installation between the glass and metal areas of automotive windscreen. It will remain permanently sealing and waterproofing between the glass and pinchweld. It can be used for filing gaps and seal joints as well.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

Specific Gravity: 1.6 ± 0.1

PROPERTIES:

Heat resistance (16 hours/150º C): No blister. No melting process occurred

Water resistance: Excellence

Service temperature: - 20º C to 70º C

Ordor: Non or very little

Adhesion: Good on metal, glass, wood and concrete

Storage: Product is very inert and can last almost indefinitely without deteriorating.

APPLICATION

After removing the windshield, the pinchweld areas should be dry, clean, free from dust, oil and grease. Release the sealant from the release paper and press it sufficiently around the pinch-weld for a complete contact.

When properly positioned, the tape should be continuously attached to the pinchweld. The purpose of the sealer is to provide for a watertight seal. In cold weather conditions it is best to warm the tape prior to attempting the installation, as this will soften the tape allowing for better workability.
